The Constitution Party of Virginia is recruiting candidates for the 2009 elections and welcome participation from VCDL members, friends and family.
One hundred Virginia House of Delegates seats are up for grabs in this "off-year" election in addition to statewide races for, Attorney General, Lt. Governor and Governor.
Because the Constitution Party is relatively new, gaining Party approval to run as the Constitution Party's candidate is nearly as easy as just asking. House of Delegates races can be run for very little money and provide an excellent way for active citizens, such as members who read this forum, to step forward and promote positive change to the direction of our government.
At the very least, being the Constitution Party candidate shall provide a superb opportunity to openly debate issues with the incumbent. However, in some races this year, there is no incumbent, or the demographics of certain districts have changed enough to provide a real possibility for a Constitution Party candidate to be victorious. You needn't spout any particular party dogma as the Constitution Party nominee. Just be committed to the idea that when government is limited by the Constitution, everyone wins.
